Sunday February 25, 2007 Romans Series Part 15 (5:12-21)
(Hebrews 9:27) "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement" __Death__ is evidence that all are __sinners__. (Genesis 2:16-17) "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." (Genesis 3:22-24) "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life." (James 1:14-15) "But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." In Adam we got what we __deserved__. In Christ we get what we __don't deserve__. Adam's disobedience resulted in __sinners__. Christ's obedience results in __righteous believers__. (1 Corinthians 15:22) "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." |
