AVOIDING HEARTBREAK IN YOUR MARRIAGE
(1 Peter 3:1-7)

Wives: Improving trom the    inside      out  

God's ordained role for your man:   Leadership    (3:1)

(1 Cor. 11:3) "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God."

How can you improve from the inside out?

1) By living   a pure life (3:2)

2) By dressing    modestly (3:3)

3) By adorning    your heart with a meek and quiet spirit (3:4-6)

Benefit: Helping   your husband see the Lord Jesus (3:1b)

Husbands: Appreciate your   precious      partner  

God's ordained role for your woman:   helper  

(Gen. 2:18) "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him."

How do you show her appreciation?

1) By spending   time with her (3:7a) "dwell with them"

2) By loving    her intelligently (3:7b) "according to knowledge"

(Eph. 5:25) "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;"

3) By honoring    her regularly (3:7c) "giving honour"

Benefit: Your   prayers   will not be hindered (3:7d) "that your prayers be not hindered."
